Nelson Cuts an Enviable Deal for Nebraska

In case you're wondering if our senators carry any weight on Capitol Hill, Ben Nelson secured a plum deal to cover Nebraska's Medicaid expansion costs as part of his support for health care reform, and other states are none too happy about it.

What do you think? Good politicking or unseemly self-service?

  1. I feel dirty. I'd rather have a public option and not this sweet heart clause that will make the state a whipping boy for years to come.

Even though I do believe in health care reform; I did not want to allow anymore stalling tactics by the republicans; and I will personally benefit from this deal as it impacts me professionally I feel more shame than relief.
